Looks like nobody can hide for long online, even works of Art like this can be found...

Looks like it ran Red up to 2011....makes me wonder if it was a genuine Lotus, unless they ran it Red with gold stripes.

  3. Mini for me, rebuilt one as a 1275 cooper S, it went like a rocket and was great fun. Sold it to my cousin and afaik he took it apart to put a stroked and over bored engine in, don't think he ever finished it and I suspect he scrapped it before moving abroad

I had an old Ford Classic. It was like the Anglia's big brother in looks. Quite a long history on it (that I cba to type on a mobile phone :D ) but it was quite tatty by the time it came into my possession. The hydraulic clutch had a leak, which was a great education in crash gear changes. The 3 bearing crank 1500 pre-crossflow engine was woefully underpowered for the huge heavy body. There again the brakes and ocean-swell handling wouldn't be up to any more speed anyway. I was a poor student at the time and had no hope of being in a position to do it justice as regards restoring it, so I sold it to a chap in Nuneaton who restored old cars. It was the gorgeous old car smell that evokes the memory. A boot so cavernous it could fit 3 people inside (yes, I was one of them!) and a big front bench seat that I took great delight in sliding my mates on by swift cornering. Ahhh...
