A classic mini, had a couple in the day, would love one now. Anything you’ve actually owned and would like one now?
Loads , but 2 notables Renault 12 - first car , it was ACE ! A 50 quid barn find, rock solid Husky/Honda - homebuilt enduro bike based on a late 70s Husqvarna rolling chassis and a 250 Honda 4 valve motorsport engine bored out to 305 . Pulled like a train and handled better than anything I rode in later years . Only failed to finish once when I snapped the throttle cable but biggest achievement was being one of only 26 bikes to finish the '83 (?) Welsh 2 day . Over 200 started the event - happy days !! Vespa T5 Millennium. Limited edition of 400, I had number 32. Sold it for a pittance about 14 years ago to someone near Liverpool. Would buy it back tomorrow....
This Flandria SP547. 50cc. Anyone else ever even seen one? I learnt to ride on one of these when I was 11 years old.HYD833N.
Had a couple of corrados, a G60 and a VR6....I’d drive another but not go and seek one. The Mk2 I had in 1994 I kept, will be digging it out if storage soon...
Loved my EH station wagon, but for rarity I had a Venus scooter for a field hack and a Bridgestone motor bike that had loads of advanced features on it. Ozziedog,,,,,,, rare as rocking horse farts.
I’ve tended to keep cars for a while so don’t have a massive list to choose from, but I would have another beetle in a heartbeat... although in slightly better condition than my last!!
Had one of these in the eighties: Followed by two more Alfasuds. Rust buckets unfortunately so not many left! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Loads of vw ones obviously, but one of these, as it was my introduction to petrol propelled transportation when my granddad gave me one aged about 10/ 11 It was with one of these magnificent machines that I learnt how to fix things with no money, and how to injure myself....
1500s whilst on tour in Kenya during the late 70's. Image old and scanned but still a looker. Taken at the Thika Drive In which served one of the best burgers of all time. Note extra screws in the headlight rims to stop tealeafing !
My first car EWK545T a lovely MK2 Escort 1.3L And a Mk2 Cortina that me and the boyfriend at the time were going to restore (his 1600E is in the background, also getting 'restored') - we split before it was ever finished, I moved to Plymouth, and both he and the cars disappeared into the mists of time. Funnily enough, when I was looking for something else the other day, I found the log book for this! No idea how I ended up with a VW camper as I obviously prefer old Fords!! Would love either types again.
