  14. well to day we started back aT coolrunning , the dreaded bunk bed had to be refitted , we got these a few years ago from an older devon van , first making sure all the pop rivets where removed . first linen up the hole with the material on the sides these spray glued them into place , then assembled the outer cover then the bar in side the bed cover and lined up with the holes , and extra long large rivets to hold in place , we have one side more or less done the other side glued in place , next week we l do the rest owen n w adrian

  18. went to see the original owner to see if he dug out the original tax book for the buggy , while there i showed him pics of his ole buggy now , he was over the moon , he asked if i had much bother with the body work, i explained how i worked on the stress cracks on the front side wing , he laughed and asked did i tell u how they got there , he explained that when he had the body strapped to the roof rack on his car towing the chassis , that the wind got up under the front of the body , lifting it up nipped the tie downs and it took of backwards up into the air landing heavey down on the front ds corner then landing flatt right side up and slide down the road for 2oo yards , then said i noticed you still have the pp sticker on the front window , and laughed . i asked what it meant , again he laughed it was my poly tenic pass hence pp , polytenic was then to become the university in belfast , when i was a young engineering student running round in my buggy , more of its history , owen n w
