I did nothing and it passed the MOT all by itself.

 

What height are those trumpets Snotty? Do you notice any difference in performance?

 

50mm. I'd say yes they make a difference, but a subtle one. Def worth fitting if you've got big, manly carbs.

 

Twin IDF40s on the bus and the buggy. I'd need x8!

You want long trumpets on the bus and short on the buggy.

 

I guess that's for low down grunt for the bus and top end woosh for the buggy?
Anyone got any used ones they don't need?

 

Today I fitted some “bling bling” trim rings to the dash pod binnacle and air vents.







My next jobs include;
Fitting the switch so the ‘bilge fan’ fitted under the cab floor can be used to draw/force hot air onto the screen.
A fuel solenoid cut off valve.
Some ambulance fans (bought as a birthday present)
Some new rocker shaft spring washers after it was found that one is broken during the service (when the faulty oil light was found).
Manufacturing a metal plate to bond behind the dash so as to make the radio plate fit correctly (The JB Weld should hold the plate in place so no need to weld/drill the dash)
Fit the new hinges to the pop top roof.





Still not sure if I should fit/trial the ‘Earz’ or not.

Stolen all the 8amp white fuses out of the fusebox for my beetle as the ones i bought off ebay never arrived even though they've been delivered according to the post office.

 

You didn't seriously buy Earz?
