Threw the hockey kit in it. Drove to training. Then drove to pub. Then drove home.

Worked just like it should!! :)

  3. Siphoned the washer water out of my big Swedish washer tank. It holds so much, you never use it all, and it goes all revolting. My van no longer smells like a stagnant pond when I work the washers.

Treated him to a new set of wiper blades, as he's been a good boy. £8.50 for a pair of Bosches at GSF. Use the code WENEVERBLOODY SELLANYTHINGATFULLPRICEANYWAYSOWHYBOTHERWITHTHISDISCOUNTCODENONSENSE

  6. I’m just making templates at the moment, to get the curves right. Don’t think I’ll copy Devon’s crap design.

I’ve got the westy roof so no curves to follow! Still making some hardboard templates first though.

Gave the middle and inner sills a bit of a clean up. Really pleased with how good the original metal is there.

I'm going to paint it all before welding the new sill on.

P.S . Thick new paint burns very well when ignited by a welder. Solvent fumes in cavities are also fun.

I would carefully paint the inside bits you wont see for about the next 10 years, let them harden, weld it then finish painting..

Yup that's the method I used on the other side. Luckily all plug welds so less fire risk.

Fitted a new horsehair seat pad..

This is a ‘ during’ pic.

I realised it’s a much easier job if you separate the base from the back.

Took the opportunity to straighten the centre of the base a bit as I think many large South African posteriors had caused it to sag in the middle.

Forgot to take an ‘after’ pic in my excitement to reinstall it.

  19. Fitted adjustable spring plates while on holiday in France after one of the horseshoe plates bent. Was bad enough to hit the chassis and make it undrivable over 50mph.

More cutting and grinding and realising I am going to have to replace the top inner front panel when I can afford it.

    :(:(:(:(
