Fitted new carpet in the front and then took her for a poodle around Richmond Park in the sunshine.

 

Very nice. Were the Mamil cyclists out in Richmond park?

 

Yes there is more lycra than deer now over there.

 

I heard they may have to start culling. them, as their numbers are getting too great. Sad, but necessary.

 

Yes very sad, but at least it would stop them jumping red lights.

 

Cut holes in the passenger side wheel arch because somebody welded the seat brackets in that need removing for mg seats that are going in...found another hole so cut it while I had the grinder out...

 

When I had a look, the front wheel bearings were well past their best. Got the four new bearing tracks in ready to reassemble:

I didn’t know you could do an alternator swap with the engine in

I took mine out for this and a couple of other jobs.

Fitted a home made throttle pedal link using a couple of M4 rose joints, a small bit of stainless steel with a hole drilled in one end and a bent over tag on the other .. stops bolt sliding in slot under pedal . And a reducer from about 5.5mm to 4 mm dimeter for the bolt in the hole in the end of the lever on the bar that crosses over from the throttle cable.

Havent test driven it yet but i have put all the old bits in a container in case it fails.

And fitted a couple of stainless steel ring pull style door latches to a couple of the cupboards to replace the plastic horrors fitted by Devon.
