Tucked an active sub bass speaker on the bulkhead behind drivers seat. Ran some other cables for other things. The businema is almost ready for action.

 

Took the dirty clothes out following the weekend away
Only 4 days then off camping again

 

Oops, that reminds me, we've still got the last days washing up in the sink from our last day in Yorkshire. We'll have to get that washed up before Friday.

 

Bump start.... left the radio face on!

 

I have got the propex working after tightening the unions at the rear (which must have been undone when I paid to have the interior upholstered)......... just got to get it tested by a qualified individual.

Then found that some insect repellent had leaked inside a cupboard and had lifted the laminate..... yuk





Also come to the conclusion that both the leisure and main batteries are shot so got to get replacements

 

Dented and scratched new paintwork !

 

Took it to the local garage where it met some friends - and passed the MOT with no advisories. Yay.

Ps. I might have drooled a bit on that gleaming Aston.

Bought the oil to do an oil change having kicked off a debate about whether you can mix oils. Also bought some anti freeze having kicked off a similar debate on that subject. Are there any subjects that everyone agrees on in VW land?

I agree with Para. hats off to you for going to the effort. I'd have just painted over it.

 

New gearbox, clutch, breaks in during easter hollday

 

Finally after 130 hrs I've got all the red oxide, white paint and grey primer off the flatbed and drop gates. Gave them a compound with G6 and a wax with collinite. . Also had a trial run on the new Ash slats that I'm going to make and fit .

Put on a shiny coil cover.

That coil cover's worth at least another 5hp

 

Sanded gutters back, found a couple of holes in roof on rear corners. No worries.
