  2. In that case mine will never be finished

  3. Laid under it and its still not got any oil leaks. Maybe there's no oil in it:easter:

Inserted mysrelf under the dash, pulled bits, did a dry fart, swore, and entered the hell hole that is vwheritage website. Jesus Christ.

  4. Get stuck in, para. Just put it all back together again, or it will never be finished...

  5. I haven't painted anything and mine is finished !

  6. I find the VWH search very useful. If I'm after something like novelty tea towels or party poppers, I just enter "Beetle brake master cylinder". Tea towels are always top of the list.

You've got serious work to do, VWH. Your site's a mess.

  7. For sure

  8. Sorting out loads of jobs before putting engine back in:

    Fitted right side heater cable
    Put leisure battery back in
Fitted both handbrake cable tube rubber boots to keep the grime out.
Fitted new steering damper as old one had no resistance what so ever.
High temp painted replacement left heat exchanger.
Stuck on some more silent coat.
Fitted replacement Dometic CRX50 and tested.
Went to fit heat exchanger then found I have lost an exhaust stud somewhere
Found rusty mess on bottom of left beam tower. Will need to clean and weld a patch over in very near future.

If I can find the stud, it will be nice to attempt to put the engine back in tomorrow.

  10. Sprayed the bezels inside my gauges as they looked a little rusty. Came out really nice with a Rustoleum Matt Black from Homebase . Need to figure out how to hold my mgb rev counter in place and then do a dash light test to make sure the new gauge is not lit up like Las Vegas!

    When was your bus built?
If this is its first year tax free, I thought you had to wait until a April 1st to apply?
