Connected handbrake, removed bricks. Filled him up with four litres of oil, pumped throttle, pressed button on Remote-Start-O-Matic. Dellortos spat impressively - thankfully, my eyebrows weren't in the way this time - and settled down to a steady idle . Running rich, but I've yet to tweak the carbs properly.

Discovered leak from exhaust joint, predictably right over the oil hoses. Will fix tomorrow. Mighty impressed with new starter, recrimped starter wiring and hot start relay. Engine starts even if I just glance at the ignition key.

Just got to sort out my throttle cable length, and I might go for an exploratory 1776-powered trundle down the driveway...

I've got a fence to put up

 

Did a bit more wiring in the engine compartment and gave everything a degrease as it was manky and whatever i touched turned my hands black.

 

Drove twenty feet down the drive. Reversed twenty feet back again.

 

Replaced the glass cap on my brake warning light with a red warning cap for a land drover from ebay. Simple but sweet!

 

Hospital appointment this morning, so took the rest of the day off ( pre planned ) so I could fit hoops and bows , with new ash slats to crewcab . Went really well then had to dismantle ready to send tomorrow for canvas !

Scrubbed nine months of filth off van. Booked MOT. Ordered the Screwfix Spring Collection.

 

Put a better S boot on and replaced 2 other hoses, happy all the air side is spot on , test drove but still missing now and again so ordered all ign service items plus a u/j for the T25 gear linkage, that's added Brickwerks to my ever increasing suppliers list

 

When's it booked in for

 

Thursday. Only thing that concerns me is the emissions, as my Dells are running really rich, for reasons (currently) unknown.

 

Welded the flat lip back on the gearstick. Fitted gearstick, The unknown gearbox seems to have all gears and made no strange noises, It is sat on axle stands so no real test.

 

Nearly got the rest of the wiring done but got stopped by the rain.

I am. Hub caps are on, therefore it's finished.

 

Installed a fire tec extinguisher system today. Next week Saturday first run of the engine on the dyno.
