Well done Doug - champ quitter AFAIK!
I'm determined to get hold of Champix. So far I read on Camquit I had to see GP for prescription. They're crap at answering phone so I had to visit surgery and make an appointment.
GP said they can't unless on the CanQuit ting, so made app for that.
Camquit can't write the prescription so had to make another GP app. All the short notice apps gone so had to return again to make app the next day as they fill these 2 days ahead and still not answering the phone.
That's going to be 5 visits to get what I want while they simultaneously moan about patients wasting their time! AAAARRGGHHH!!!!

Keep at it Steve; it'll be worth it when you've jacked it in!
I've been trying to sort a docs appointment as I've got bloody food poisoning again. Eventually persuaded them to write my prescription over the phone as there are no appointments until Tuesday!

  11. I'm a little gutted, I made it to the end of the month and then Monday me and the misses split up, she moved out yesterday and I've had a couple while drinking this weekend. Still determined not to become a smoker again and every time I have one I hate the fact I've had one, plus I haven't actually enjoyed it. I dont even crave one and dont know why I've had them but..... I did.

    Well done to everyone else.

Quitting is for winners! You'll get through it and you'll do it without the fags...stay strong xxx *hugs*

  18. 3 weeks on electronic cigs, gave up for 2 years last time then started again earlier in the year for various reasons.
Champix can cause depression if your prone to it, my GP said I was better off on the e-cig.
If you tried e-cigs a few years ago or more recently I recommend giving it another try, as long as you get good ones, there much better than they used to be. The only issue is that the initial outlay is quite high, so if you dont get on with them it could be money wasted.

Lucky for me I'm not prone to depression. In fact I'd say I'm happier than normal because I chuffed to have stopped smoking and relieved that so far it's been easy.

    Early days I know...

  20. Looks like that may be the answer for me then as I'm back smoking again ::)
