All good in the hood this end, nice one Dubster you can do it fella! My Vapestick has really done the trick for those moments of weakness or the need to have something between my fingers moments... Mrs Robo has also not had a fag since I stopped buying them, cold turkey also but only smoked about 5 a day (all mine)... We've got a planned night out with some friends Saturday, a meal & some drinks nothing heavy but have been wondering if it would be acceptable to buy 10 fags or is this the time I should be resisting the temptation or do I have a treat?
A smoke is not a treat. It'll kill you. (bloody ex-smoker to be speak!) I wouldn't plan now to buy smokes, if you do that you've already decided it's going to happen. All going strong here!
Well done everyone else. Apart from a few 'tokes' on the leccy cig before bed its not been bad. Going to bin the elec one tomorrow and go totally nicotine free. Only thing is, can't sleep now....
Just wanted to add my support to you all - Richard has given up properly for the second time now and I know how difficult it is From the point of view of someone who's lived with a smoker for a number of years do whatever you can to give up completely - if you think you can go from being a smoker to just enjoying the occasional fag you probably can't - it will gradually creep back in You all rock!
Bad news today. I shamelessley scrounged a fag from one of my pupils today because she wanted to stop and have a fag. I let her park up and we both stood outside while she lit up. And then...... I,m back on the leccy fag now though. :-[
Hows everyone else doing? I cracked after a few beers on Wednesday and bought a pack, had 3 tokes, decided I was a ***** and told myself it tasted Marmite, and gave the pack away. Next morning I woke up with a new energy and attitude and havent had a fag, elec, patch or anything. Gone completely cold turkey. I seem to miss standing on the balcony more than going out for a fag. Things are going well though. SandyBay, you can do it, dont crack now, a few things I thought today..... my next fag is going to cost me a full respray and a new engine. And without my next fag, I'll afford that by the summer after next........
I had a weak moment at the weekend but back on my vapestick so not all bad, well done to those who are still going strong... We will crack this monster... Robo...
