  1. Ive an understanding mrs matty plus i always clean up after ive finished
The reflective paint turned out very well and works suprisingly well but i did lay a coat of etch and a coat of silver first

I came back from the springdub show in harrogate today and finished cleaning up the alternator

Does anyone know if new brushes are available?
Theres still life in my old ones but i thought if there available then i may aswell change them whilst its off the engine

I think they are, but I suspect you have to buy the whole assembly.

A couple of quid? When was the last time you bought brushes for anything? I get hyper stung for grinder brushes wherever I find them.

  6. New brushes for the washing machine a month or so ago were just under £20
Brushes for a lawn mower last summer were £5

I was kind of hoping some small alternator brushes would only be a few quid i do realise though that there getting harder to fins as no body replaces stuff themselves nowadays they go out and buy a new item

If you measure the size of the brushes and note how they are wired in then search eBay with the sizes you can buy them for under a tenner including post

  15. Steve i fecking love ya dude

I find myself chanting the mantra good things come to those who wait

  16. Oh dude sell the late keep the early

If you have anything left over from the late dollar wise then put it into a roofrack with spotlights on the front for the early

A latebay wouldent suit you now
keep the zed lounge dude its Marmite for camping but awesome for discussing gentelamns matters whilst indulging in man things

It's ok for camping as well you cheeky bugger! bed, cooker, what more you you want?

That red one looks just like mine but with spots (like them in the middle) and tyres. :) I'm still pondering tyres. Just as well as I can't afford any for the forseeable.

  19. Appologies zed

I wasent supposed to say you bus is Marmite for camping dude
More along the lines as its not as practical as a normal camper conversion but that pales into insignificance when your chilling with a few pals inside it

You dont have to cart the kids and wife around anymore so like you say bed cooker and a place to sit you have everything you need:thumbsup:

I also like the spots in the middle of that red early
I saw an early at weekend with a box section steel roofrack with spots mounted on the front of it
It was carrying the spare wheel and a fuel can on the top and looked really cool i thought

Tyres for going offroad are a pain not only in cost but finding ones the right size
I imagine they will be one of the last things i get for the bus

I can get 15" beetle/splitty wheels for mine which opens up the choice a bit.
