it's all single skin in that area Rick Bottom mounting wise, I was thinking of mounting to the bumper and the panel 8)
If the bottom mount straddles the battery tray it will be pretty strong, the top one would cause more of an issue I would have thought
Chuck up a quick sketch when youve decided on the way you want to do it dude Will you be using bearings in the swinging joint?
My front indicator lenses are still in good condition dude Its the grey plastic housings that need replacing Thanks for the offer to help though dude its really appreciated OH The dishwashers finished yipee
They turned out better than i thought I know if it wasent for the cracks i could get those lenses looking like new again
No worries dude, the light housings look sweet, lenses are a bit cloudy, the lenses cover the lights, mine are a bit crispy but I prefer crispy vw over, new and crap
The lenses are cloudy indeed dude but i know i can rectify that no problem ive done it before Its a shame they have cracks in them otherwise i could make them look like new Ill do one of them to show what can be achieved with some time and effort The housings will stay even though i cant get them perfect as you say a bit crispy and genuine vw is often a lot better than ill fitting/working repro stuff
I've just fitted oair of black bad rear housings and they were ok. Your lenses are still toast - cloudy. Yes please Paul - show us where the top wheel carrier fitting fits please - can't recall any single skin there.
Lenses are only toast because of the cracks steve Ill have a play with one tmw and post the pics up i think you will be suprised
