The second number is usually a compliance number to show that it conforms to A.D.R. standards

,I knew the sills where knackered inner and outer on both sides, luckily all the out rigers and jacking points floor edges seem to be solid just needing a good rub and treated ,[IMG]
The cab floor a and steps are also really good ,with a small patch on the passengers side that pot riveted, and both steps needing a clean up and maybe a wee amount of new metal

Next up passengers door and sliding door both need work but I will prob buy good second hand ones I know they can be fixed it's just ,,,,but lazy

  6. The rear corner has started to go as well when I looked further the battery could probably do with replacement ,it not that bad but don't see the point in patching it

This has me a bit puzzled was looking in the engine bay and it looked really crusty if I was honest I didn't wanna put the screw driver near it but when I did I chipped this kinda under seal of if I can call it that ,it's hard and looks like dry tar with bubbles in it ,anyone seen that before ,must of been there since new as it's mint condition under neath and is under the og paint ,my last one didn't have it just plain metal painted

Looks far better but it's gonna have to come up a bit at the front just to low ,

Went through the front brakes new pads ,skimmed the discs ,and new brake pipes ,

New fuel pipes on the back ,done all the cv boots ,New brake shoes ,New exhaust ,removed the tow bar and it goes on ,but more importantly the list of to do s is getting smaller ,

Not easy doing all this on the drive ,must be bliss to work on in Ur own garage

  14. Ok wee update ,van now running again ,New fuel pump ,New plugs ,New points ,gave up on that electronic ignition for the moment spent far y much time and money on it for it just not to work how it should ,

Thing I noticed was when the van now runs the carbs start to freeze up ,? This norm till it heats up ,and should I reconnect the warm air intake thing.

  18. Just trying to find out what bits I am missing to do that ,

  19. I think it's the voltage regulator ,this was the reason the van was parked up ,it got a new alternator and regulator ,but when I tested the voltage to the battery I have 17 ish.

  20. So this was my battery tray after I pulled out the rubber mat that was hiding the rot

The rear corner was very thin and starting to come through with rust to ,no option really but to cut the rotten stuff out ,wanted to keep as much as poss but
    [IMG]
