So this will be my second bay had to sell my last one for deposit money for a house and have longed for another but with life ,work and kids sucking my money I could never seem to afford another ,well not one that was gonna take years to put right ,anyway this bay has been local to me for as long as I can remember, and it has spent the last 3_4 years sitting in the local Vw dealership getting a charging prob sorted, long story short the dealership is closing it has come up for sale and I got it mega mega cheap ,it's not prefect it's got rust and looks really rough but under it's paint no filler and no welds on welds ,plans???? Get the sills done mot it run as is and hopefully get her painted soonish,oh try get it of The q plate ,from what I have learnt it's cause they couldn't prove its age on import ,pics anyone
Can you get a birth certificate from ze Germans to prove its age? Get it off that awful Q plate (saying that, haven't seen a Q in years, might be a rare thing now!) Am presuming this was a Knock Down Kit....anyone know if the museum would keep the chassis numbers?
I was going to order one but then realised that as its not ever going to be stock, it wasn't worth it
Hi I ave also got an OZ bay same color with rust! it already had the birth certificate and two chassis numbers but why have the two? apology's for the question we have only owned ours for 3 weeks and completely new to campers but always wanted one.
In the engine bay just towards the left as you look in. You have your normal chassis stamped in and then another tack welded in. Something to do with Aussie registration or summat. Our local Aussie, @Terrordales will be along soon to confirm.
Yeh I have both so hopefully this is gonna help ,get a birth certificate and send it of to dvla see if a can do anything about the q
You need to use the number that isn't tacked on. You might be able to get something from VW rather than having to wait for the BC.
