I've studiously avoided going upstairs to check when the MOT runs out but Sod's law dictates that it will be the first week of April. I really must screw up my courage and go and look.
Good news, well good news for me anyway. I girded my loins and ventured upstairs to root around the office for Skippy's MOT. Result! It expires on May 13th 2015.
Only cos am pretty lazy myself, I was showing it to my mate once and we accidentally found out his t5 camper had run out the week before!!!
Poo! And I've just checked the website too... mine runs out on 8th April! Guess I'd better get cracking if I want to get to SpringCamp!
Haha, are you taking her to spring camp or techenders? We're going to both so I'll show her mine if ........
Unfortunately we can't make it to either We would have gone to Spring Camp for certain but it's our sister in laws 50th birthday and we are under strict instructions to go to her party
Those look great @sANDYbAY .....amazing how much you can stash up there....I always fancied making something along the lines of aircraft holdalls...but then again, I always fancied relining a bus and building blinds into the pannelling...think it'd compliment the shape of the bus.... ...and maybe get a nice trolley dolly to serve free booze....
Its a lot of upheaval if you've got an interior. @zed has put blinds in his bus, he has very cunningly made them work up so they disappear from view during the day. Along with his erbesphacher in the engine bay it's another thing I wish I'd done on mine. I would, but unfortunately my wife does understand me. So that'd be a NO then.
You can only hide the one opposite the sliding door actually behind a panel, the rest need to be in the furniture, the rear hatch one planted on top and I couldn't figure a way of doing the slider. I don't think I missed a trick.
it'd be a big undertaking.....do you remember seeing that radio bus on here a while back, with full GRP lining? I'd be looking at something along those lines, or done in bent birch (insulated...obviously), with proper timber framing around the windows....you'd lose an inch or two in the width, but I reckon if it was done well, it'd be ace...more like a boat or samll plane
That would be nice. It's one of the things I love about these old vans. You're only restricted by your imagination. I think it's one of the reasons I didn't buy a "proper" motorhome, all you could do to it would be drive it and put fuel in it, anything else starts to devalue it whereas the exact opposite is true for our vans.
I had railway compartment door blinds in mind which are virtually indestructable do you remember them?
