I have no idea, I avoid painting wherever possible. I have a devilbiss GTi pro though which is very nice if you like that sort of thing.

  2. I'd say the tip is a bit big at 1.8 for too coat.

    I have a devilbiss gti with a 1.4 I use for top coat 2pak.

We use a cheapy gun for primer with 1.8 or 2 tip. Primer is much thicker so needs a bigger outlet.

  3. The results are down to prep rather than the gun you use. Don't need to spend a fortune.

I bought my gun pre-loved for £70 and my bus came out ok

  4. Cheers, I'll only be doing the primer so will get a cheaper 1.8 nozzle gun.

  5. Your bus is looking good carl
I really like your attention to certain details like the arch lips and cutting the bottom of the repair panel so its made a nice straight line with the rest of the sill

  6. Cheers para, yeah I'm quite happy with it, don't realise how wobbly it is though till you start some body work haha.

Whilst I wait for filler to dry on the outside, I sand down the inside..

  7. Small update, been mostly doing filler work and other little bits of welding that I missed etc.
I re-done the sliding door outer skin last week, the schofields panel is 10x better than the jk panel!
Also got a new welder :)

    Got rid of some holes..

  8. Lastly.. Used some bits of cut up coasters to wedge the screen in like @zed suggested.

This side the gap is 11mm
    [IMG]

    This side it's 7mm
    [IMG]

So the front clip need to be repositioned by 2mm each side, as the rest of the windscreen has a 9mm gap all the way round. :/.

I'd probably go with that as it is, it's a big hassle to remove and refit, you'll likely knacker it getting it off and need a new one. I'd at least atempt to fit a windscreen first and see what it's like?

  14. Update!
Ok so I've been juggling a few interiors for people and trying to get some work done on my bus. So not a lot has been done the last 2 weeks, but...
Against better judgement I wasn't happy with the front clip position.. So I cut it off and re-positioned.
Was a total faff! Really hard to get it off the chassis but got there in the end.
Repositioned and now my door gaps are MUCH better!!!

Also, I've got the sliding door, tailgate and engine lid hatch all rubbed down, filled and ready for some primer.

And last but not least an mcj wheel, again.. Lush! Wasn't too sure about this at first. Was going to keep the stock wheel.. But this is soon nice! Can't wait to see it in the bus.

Also, 5 steelies are off getting powder coated white, and new tyres are on the way to me as we speak :)
