Bought a table leg and floor socket a while ago, the picture on the JK website at the time was of Fiamma products. What arrived was some cheap unbranded stuff that now looks scruffy. My review was never posted as I criticised JK for using a misleading picture. Now I only use Heritage, Custom & Commercial and Mega Bug. Prices are about the same as JK but the quality of the parts is better and they are very clear about the source of their products.
Sounds like you might have, our purchasing manager just fitted one to his Bay and said it went on lovely. If you give us a call we'll replace it for a new one for you Don't quite understand this message Did you speak to Shaun about it? Shaun is handling all Trade customers now, so if you speak to him whenever you give us a call he'll be able to track down any information you need and sort out any issues you might have had Unfortunately this morning isn't a great example as he's of to visit some customers today! Really sorry to hear that, doesn't sound like a great experience Do you know roughly when this was? If it was on our current website than I'll get our IT team to look in to it, as we obviously don't want to be displaying the wrong photos on the wrong products! Thanks Josh
It was just a seal and an o-ring Josh. 2 very common standard items. It was 2:30 and I needed the order in to beat the post deadline. It was a lady I spoke to not that it makes any difference. I was amused that she'd had a "meeting" about it and at the outcome which I quoted word for word above. FYI there is an o-ring, I had it in my hand. Time for some staff training methinks. It took 2 mins for the phone to be answered. I phone VWH, it was answered before it rang, parts ordered in 20 seconds and they had my card details ready. Pretty good service, but note I did phone you guys first, I don't have a down on you.
Ah, thanks for the clarification, makes more sense now I wasn't here for much of yesterday so I don't know about any meetings, but I'll certainly pass the information you've provided on to our sales director, as that's clearly pretty shoddy. I'll try and find out who you spoke to as well as they are probably in need of a little training! Thanks again Josh
The "meeting" was probably her asking her neighbours (at work!), but "meeting" sounds more professional.
Couldn't comment either way as I wasn't here, but our sales team usually just say if they need to ask a colleague to clear something up! I've passed all the info on to our sales director, so hopefully he'll have a word with those involved, but I can PM you Shaun's direct dial number if you don't already have it? Josh
No need matey, This time it was just easier to start again elsewhere. BTW I just had a look and it seems you don't sell them, but do sell the main seal. Seems a bit daft? If you want my advice you should bundle them together for the sake of people who don't know they're in there. It's recieved wisdom to replace them both together and the o-ring should be pennies.
No thanks, it would be my fault then! I appreciate it's not likely many people know everything and I certainly don't.
That does seem pretty daft, to say the least! I'll get on the case now, shouldn't be too hard to track them down and them in to stock Thanks Zed Josh
Time for me to eat a massive slice of humble pie. After a bit of jiggling about, I have found that the petrol cap does indeed fit. So a big sorry to JK and would you be able to remove my review?
Glad you had sucess in the end . They are a tight fit....compared with my old one which leaked round the rim despite the seal looking okay.
Thanks buttercup, glad to hear it's working now - was a bit worried as they're usually a really great product so happy to hear you've got it working now I'll remove the review now, as requested Thanks again Josh
