Are you hacking in to it? It’s not installed...misplaces my mallet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
123 used to put the Bosch part numbers in the instructions. Just wondered what the corresponding Beru ones were.
I have spoken to Jim on email and he is going to be placing another order with Ignition123 next week and he is going to order a few spacers with his order, I would recommend dropping him an email if you are after one to make sure he orders enough.
Excuse my ignorance, but when you have fitted it and static timed it. Do you have to strobe time and adjust it like an original distributor?
Yes. Static timing is just to get the engine started. With any ignition system - crank fire, distributor with points or electronic – its maximum advance that is important.
Resurrecting an old thread to ask how are you all getting on with your 123's? Still toying with the idea. 2110cc type one engine. 009 with points. Twin Dellortos. Even having just re read this thread I still don't understand vac advance. I haven't got any tubing from my carbs to the distributor!
Don’t buy one with no vac advance. If you’ve got no pipework at the mo, just leave it disconnected. You can’t add it to the dissy later.
The only bit i understood from the thread is snottys sensible suggestion to get one with vac advance, even if you dont use it.
I was going to get a buttys bits throttle kit, but wondering if that money would be better going towards a 123. My throttle works fine, but then again so do my points! Whats going to give me the return/smiles/ best bang for my buck?
You could always keep your old distributor in your extensive on board spares stash. All set up and ready to go
