  1. Just double checking, (also useful documentation for anyone else trying this out), like this?

  2. Possibly. I wish they'd put part numbers on these ads, so you know what fits what. That's the kind of thing, tho'

  3. No worries, it's more just to confirm we're both talking about the same parts, thanks.

  4. Yep, same kind of thing. Then you can have the pump fuse next to the pump relay.

  5. Probably because we bought the last two ;)...

  6. If they told you the part number, you'd Google it and buy elsewhere...

  7. You need the 9 pin relay base for the tachometric relay. I use the KAE relay with integral fuse they were about £24 but seem to be in short supply.

  8. Got one for just a few pennies shy of £30.

Well done. Where'd you find it?

  10. At Porsche specialist for older models, not counting my chickens yet, until it arrives.

It'll be interesting to see which one you've got. Snotty can tell us if it has a timer circuit in it for priming :)

  12. Cheat and set up a 'priming' signal for for a relay off the alternator signal taken from the reverse light .. .

Wish you'd said this when I was building the loom - brilliant idea.

Another vote from me, I'll be doing that.

  16. Good spot. What’s the part number?

  17. 433 906 059

  18. Should do the trick  The earlier ones seem much of a muchness.

As before, I can't see how these can provide an initial prime, as there's nothing in them that would do it, apart from a few spurious pulses from the coil (which may not be there if you've got a fancy dissy). I've tried the KAE one, and there's no initial prime.

  19. I'll have to see if my Pertronix causes a glitch on the coil to prime the pump or not. Otherwise, as @Deefer66 says I can use the signal off one of the idiot lights to open the solenoid and prime the pump.

  20. Issue with that is you won't get a signal from alt or oil pressure switch...until the engine's started. Which it won't if there's no fuel.
