  1. As we are mentioning Lauda - thought you all might appreciate this Snoopy cartoon
( not sure if it's an offi snoopy.jpg cial one though!)

  2. The F1 is my all time favourite road car:thumbsup: It's just so focused and uncompromising about going fast. Gordon Murray's attention to the smallest details was obsessive beyond belief, who else would fit a carbon fibre CD player just to shave a few grams off the weighto_O

I love the interview with Gordon Murray in Living In The Material World (George Harrison documentary by Martin Scorsese) where he talks about how long it took to build the McLaren F1 that George had ordered.

I can't remember but well over the normal time because of all the small detailing changes George wanted.

    Nice!

Hulkenburg confirmed at Force India today... is it worth starting a Perez / Button swap rumour... or a Perez, Button Alonso LM team? :D

Remember Le Mans does not clash with any F1 race in 2015, so it could still be a goer.

    Ok.

Let's start some really interesting rumours then...

I heard that button is going to Stay at MacLaine while Alonso heads an LM team with Hamilton and Massa. Also, Vettel is seeking a bit if competitive driving on the side next year and is lined up to replace Webber at Porsche....

Caterham seem to be in a right sorry state, I'll be very surprised if they are on the grid next year, let alone the next race.

    Sounds all very messy

It seems to read Fernandez won't transfer shares until creditors are paid by new owners and new owners won't pay creditors until shares are transferred.

This would be the same Bernie that said only a few days ago that he didn't care if Caterham, Marussia & Sauber fell by the wayside.

  16. Ah isn't Bernie just a love.

Can't stand the man, I wish he would fall by the wayside :)

Looks like Marussia may not make the grid at Austin.
I can't understand why Ferrari, with all their technical links to Marussia. don't do what Red Bull did when they took over ownership of Minardi & create a "junior team", Marussia would surely be the best bet unless they do it with Sauber. Ferrari have a similar drivers academy scheme to Red Bull but when it comes to placing their proteges into teams there is rarely somewhere for them to go so having a secondary team would seem to make sense.

Where did you hear that and why?

I could understand Caterham but not read anything about marussia
