Had a few hours today and tried to tach the front clip on but it turns out I'm no expert I tried to line the wings ect up just to far out so popped the small tacks of and bolted it all together (just gotta get a new drivers side wing) as I went off the original but which has had a wack ect but just means I'll bolt it all up make sure wings and Bonet fit and have to make a piece to fill the gap !! Iv messed up some where but hey ho allways another day to put it right !! Dam and blast All the folds ect all lined up but never mind I'll learn I think I will make the clip up bolt it all up tack from underneath and go from there fix my mistake
I no bud never mind I'm glad I realised when I did it's hard when I got so many bits lol I'll sort it just gotta get a wing and I'll have the front fine in a full day !! Only having bits here and there (dub freeze should have a cheap wing )
Could have been worse, not far out really, it's difficult to see exactly where to cut until you've cut it.

The pressings in the IGP front clip are not anything like the ones on the OG panel so it won't align perfectly. It also seems to have too much of a curve to the IGP panel so the bonnet doesn't follow along the whole length. I had loads of fun trying to get mine to fit: Atleast you've managed to save some of the original wheelwell/washer bottle recess and the tank supports as that'll make alignment a bit easier. Mine had already replaced once before (badly) so i had no option other than to fit the whole clip.
I personally think that's were I went wrong as the spot welds even line up but nothing else but I'll get there !!
I no budy just not been to well recently had a trapped nerve in my neck but hope to be all over this and back on it few hours this evening and tomoz and sat all day
Had a quick hour prepping and sorting out my workshop for tomoz !! Big weekend on the bug now I'm fit again !! Started cleaning off the rust ect and popped off the front clip and cleaned it off ready, allso dug out the old wing inserts that was rusted solid and gonna have to get old boots out and tack em in fits wing I got at dub freeze and then line the front lip up with bonnet ect and apron !!
New 1500cc engine stripped and ready to get cleaned up with new seals all round when all the tin wear comes back from the powder coaters next week or so

Out early at 8am today and got the wing mounts repaired and welding in !! after the welding wire kept blocking up found the wire feed tube was blocked !! So replaced that and then my new Bosch grinder was sticking of oil and vibrating (@davidoft did say this the day I got it) but after all that had a few hours work and got clip all lined up sweet and tacked it all in and started filling up my mistakes and got the one side done no trouble and all still lined up sweet But for some reason the other side was so thin were the bonnet line managed to make the other side in 3 bits instead This side well happy with
