Then Mrs Daisy brought me some lunch and then got cracking on the other side which was a bit harder as had non of the old clip left !! But just gotta make a bit up on front and tack the Apron on and start moving on filling the holes






And that's it hoping for no hold ups tomoz however I am off to a party in a bit so may get messy as 1st night been out and got no kids at home

Looking amazing mate. I had a front wing in my garage. At least I think it was a front wing. Forgot about this lettuce project. Gave it to the owner in the end, but if I had remembered

September maybe got ALOT of holidays in bus next month and summer got 3 weeks and 2 weeks in France next month .... I can see it now Daisy does Paris

Been on the bus mate doing some winter maintenance as off to Paris in her next week but should be back on it this week here and there

So watched beetle crisis all day yesterday and this was enough to kick start me off again !! Tidied up and filled the few holes on the front clip all happy with it now seamsealed it and krust treated the front clip and spare wheel well before apron gets tacked on allso made a few templates up but noise on drive so will have an hours here and there try get 1 job done each night !!

 

Another little job done coat of red oxide primer and it does make me feel better as everything in red it metal work done (bar a skim of filler )



Will do apron next and then inner front aches and keep working my way back

 

Just had an hour got the front apron on fitting nice and all welded in getting better on the welds !! Just gotta grind em off but not this time of night sand it down and coat of prima and gotta move seal lip in on 1 side and tidy it up

 

Hi Si, how's it going? What welder & size wire are you using? I'm looking at picking one & need at point in the right direction

Yes matey bus is all cleaned out new roof ready to go ect can't wait leave in Tuesday!!
I'm using a Clarke 135turbo welder I got it with 0.6 wire gas is the only way to go gasless is a joke
I'll be in my new garage in a few weeks(still on my drive ) y don't u nip down and u can have a look and a go for your self ect before techenders
