Daisy's 1968 deluxe beetle full restoration

  4. Shell doesn't look that bad to be me. Atleast some of the front end looks like its saveable.:)

  5. It's bad but a good few days on it and I'll break the back of it then it's the time making it look pretty Iv got a complete front clip of a chap only payed £40 was missing front apron so not to bad its all fixable

  7. Just sorting out a few pannels for the body I got a few body cuts from a chap at Xmas so that will keep me busy for a while

  9. It's ready for tomoz mate gotta unstitch the wheel well mate from the front clip I bought it's got the bumper moaned the lot all in good nick bonnet goin on tomoz !! just popped it in to see the pansl quality

  10. Not much today only had a hour or so this morning been out with kiddies all day at pictures and Daisy passed her mot

    Cleaned up steering box primered and painted it, allso refurbed primered and painted original tie rod arms with some new bolts for the clamps and new mele tie rods and new steering damper !!
    Then had a half hour stripping and drilling all the spot welds on the donor clip I had for cheap bit more work but keeps costs down !! Allso cut out the 1 side ect will paint inside bits were I can just ran out of time today maybe few hours tomoz !!

  15. Had an hours this morning on the clip !! If I'm honest it could do with a complete inner wings but not worth it for this rot box so I'll spend a few hours making the rotton bits got x2 massive sheets for £10 gotta keep costs down !!
    The cheap clip I have is ready to be welded on but have a few bits to make before as its easier to get to then line the wings up and tack it all together try it all together !!
    Feeling a bit Meh about the shell so I stripped out the inner wing and red oxide primered (it for a bit of a gee up !! Allso cleaned up the clip and seam sealed the welds ect [​IMG][​IMG]
