Your bus is such an unusual color. Where did you get the idea? I once had fresh homemade banana ice cream that was like the desert of The Gods. Your bus makes me crave it fiercely. I'm glad you backed out of the purple idea for your engine tinware. Your bus is far too elegant for that. But if you're still open to ideas I thought a creamy green banana shade might look nice. Not neon green, not pea soup, but if you have any extra body paint around, just add a few drops of fresh bamboo-green to it for a subtle, organic, complimentary shade. Then again, maybe it's still just that damn ice cream bangin' round in my head. :
Gladys gets her engine bay sprayed tomorrow and I also hope to get the 1st part of the timber roof in fingers crossed
The engine bay is all painted as in the block and heads - she now sports her vintage spot lamp i got for a tenner and she now also has her yellow headlamps - Lots of Chrome now required for the motor and back in it can go - Whats next ??? - Finish the rear bumper and i may have some off the scale overriders coming (Maltese Cross ) lets see what they look like ???
Looking sweet as dude Im after one of those a pillar lamps or even a pair for my bus they would be very handy for scanning the fields for rabbits
Rats Nest !!!!! No more and local vw nutty Matt trim came over today and started on the nest i now have an ignition that works Headlamps that work but what a job the rear lights are next along with a dynamo conversion - then back to the cab for wiper and horn - we are nearly there - that will be the van wired then onto the audio and video bits - i am so happy this is such a weight off my mind . ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
It would be a lot harder if all the wires were the same colour Absolutely loving your work. Wish I had the time to learn some of those metal skills. Nick
One of my race cars got wired like that with numbered rings on it - it was great until the prop snapped cutting the loom in half - metal skills are easy just take your time and think three steps in front -
