Oh what fun a refurb on an engine bay is - Anyway the worst is done the n/side has all new steel fabricated swaged and bead rolled - looks quite nice a little more trick tin work over the arch and she is a honey - no pics yet will wait until its all complete - a bit of prep then yellow paint again = The o/side looks ok i will detail it out the same as the other side just now thinking about doing the tinware all in bright purple and a chrome dressed motor as a contrast to the yellow paint thoughts anyone ?? Will keep you posted
You are right Ash but orange and Yellow clash - I could go black but i think its boring the engine bays are dull so I want to inject some colour
Don't get me wrong the purple would look cool , it's down to you mate ,you have to like it every time you open the bay up Crome hmmmmm I'm having some wheels ponder coated in a Crome affect looks pretty good just don't no if it will suit the jeep , not my bus lol
Dale, you left a comment about my fabrications skill.............dude, I feel humbled after reading all 16 pages this morning. I remember seeing this one on VZi or JK last year but this build is really my favourite and has blown me away. Reps to you sir. O0 By the way, which Jag did that rear seat come from. (She Who Must Be Obeyed) SWMBO has informed me her bus needs a bench seat but I didn't know from where to source one. This has made my work easier. Now how do I add Karma?
The jag seat came from an xj6 or an xj40 either will fit just find yourself a banger racer they through them away mine was a £10.00 and a morning to fit
Have you seen the powder coat affect that is textured but like stone chip , looks cool and is easy to clean etc
I think i will spray it its can be repaired that way ash - had a few more ideas re fab work inside the engine bay just a few little trick bits
Nice carnt wait for pics , mine has not moved since I smashed my finger up so one side of the bus is lower than the other
Hey Gladys hear beat tonight for the 1st time that rusty dirt old lump of metal made a noise on all 4 cylinders - Yipppppppppppppppppy
Nice one Dale, we both hit milestones this week - we had Gusbus running on monday, first time in 4 years - few technical issues but we sorted them tuesday, running like a dream! Well done to you mate ;D
