Children of the 70s - man have they f-----d up our heads?

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by Poptop2, Aug 28, 2013.

  1. I was a child of the 60's and so the 70's (and some of the 80's) were wild times for me. Ditto about A.I.D.S. Peoples attitudes changed when that came along. I find youngsters of now, really boring and insular and easily conned by the giant comgloms who manufacture gadgets and brands aimed specifically at their age bracket.
Also ditto Sabbath. Many hours sat listening to them with friends each swapping our brains through mind bending substancies not now available to this generation.

  2. The summer of '76 - spent most of it in a caravan in Anglesey as dad was working at Wylfa power station - now that was a summer

  3. The seventies were my formative years, I just seem let down by those so called "icons" of that era who are now all being investigated by the police.

  6. I saw Slade at Monsters of Rock at Donnington in the 80s and they were excellent. By then they had got rid of the glam (thank god!) and out played AC/DC.

I grew up like this in the 60's and 70's, about four miles from that place, it was Marmitee and now't much really has changed round here, the pits have gone but now't came to replace them, at least todays kids get a better education than we did, no one went to university, school was just somewhere to get you out from under your mothers feet till you went down the pit, young uns today don't know they're born
