£100 for a battery for a bay!!!!!!!!!! as others have said try gsf and euro and dont rule out the vw dealers as there cheap on fast moving stuff like batterys got a golf diesel battery for about £70 not long since biggest that fits in tray is always the best gives you longest cranking time when you run out of fuel before it goes flat and most hours when you forget and leave your lights on ;D
Cheers guys, thanks for the input, looks like it's going to be a bosch s5 063.........maybe with a seethrough black lace trim!!!

I run an 096 in my bay, but I also have a 90amp alternator, and a motor with a high compression ratio!!
I have a red top optima, didn't cost me anything as it came out of my dad's discovery when he wrote it off and i only need to flick the key to start it completely different to the tired 063 that was in there! ;D
If they were short runs of something like a mile with the headlights and windscreen wipers on then you could well slowly discharge the battery. The same sort of distance and frequency but without headlights and wipers and you will be okay though short runs aren't that good for the engine anyway.
Thanks everyone for the info, all I really need to know now is....will the larger 096 fit in the battery tray properly.
if only that was possible........van is not at home at the moment, thats my prob , I cant get down to the lock up for a few days and wanted to get the battery ordered to take with me next time
