It’s the correct p/n so it should be correct but it does look a bit small; does it fit on the arm and in the cup okay?
Incidentally I always use the VW p/n when searching for parts, it makes it easy to confirm the right item is being ordered and it’s easy to price check. For instance:
    VWH £5.03
    JK £4.95
    C&C £4.24 (currently discounted 15%)
    Schofield £5.00
    Coolair £6.00
I’d have bought them from C&C, not just because they’re the cheapest but they state it’s made for them by a German supplier using a NOS VW part as a pattern. The other suppliers may, or may not be selling the same part but at least with C&C you know where it’s made.

I got the 4 part set from coolair, which with 15% TLB discount came in at £4.27 each. They were VW stamped I believe.
I’ll check the fitment next time I’m down there.

It's, or used to be tlb1405 for 10% off but the last order I placed I had to ask for the discount so the code may have expired.

Fiesta passed its MOT!! Id welded up a hole in the exhaust and the dodgy rear arch, and I have a slow puncture that is being replaced for a new tyre. Apart from that we’re good to go for another year.

Picking up the wheels from the powdercoaters later today, so I’ll need some new tyres to put on them.

I was going to go for a set of Hanook ra18s as a search on here threw them up as a popular choice. Any further recommendations before I order them?

  9. Yep, get a set of old wheels with shot tyres for wheeling it around on and put new tyres on the day before you MOT your bus.
That way, your wheels wont got damaged, covered in filler dust, paint, filler, biscuit crumbs and your tyres wont be staring to get perished or flat spotted as the bus is standing on them and not doing much.
Ask me how I know the above, go on ask me:mad:

Good idea. Do you have a shoddy set of wheels spare? I have some old tyres.

  11. Sadly not, mine went to someone in Bristol, sorry.
If anyone has a set I can help with collecting them for you as I get around the south west, a lot.

I’ll keep an eye out. I was going to get a winter tyre setup at some point anyway.

  13. I think @Mattlad had a set going spare, if he's still got them I could pick them up for you or failing that there's a T25 set on ebay in Street for £100 or best offer.

  16. Great work on the beam James, swift as ever despite the snow. I see you have lopped off the servo bkt, Fletcher Gillett gives some tips on handing a beam in his Haynes manual. Snow has stopped play for this old timer in Somerset but I have spent lots of time researching paint and will add some details to the Paint System Dilemma thread. Where are you getting your epoxy primer and mastic from?

Cheers Martin, I’m trying to keep the momentum going. I’ve opted to keep my brakes as is, without a servo. It’s not been an issue for me and didn’t fancy the extra work.

I’ve been using Bilt Hamber Epoxy Mastic.

Last of the running gear epoxied tonight. Hoping to have it all top coated for the weekend so I can finally start bolting bits back on.

Also got some bits back from the powder coaters; the brake backing plates and all 5 wheels. Shiny shiny!
