you d be better to cut that all out , remake it . the rust is in to deep . no AMOUNT OF anti rust will stop it , the new green look s10 times better
I can’t get that far into it owen It’s already going further than I hoped for. I’ve had good success with this paint on corroded and pitted steel over the years so I’ll carry on and see how it gets on over time. I’m working outside so need to get as much of this sorted and sealed as possible before the weather turns bad.
could you try some chemical metal para over the pitted areas now, level it out same as if you filled it . , might help , keep up the good work love the new colour .
The rust treatment paint I’m using is high building so fills the pits well It will get flatted before the next coat and I won’t top coat till it’s all filled and level The top coat is also a zinc rich paint so fingers crossed it all does the trick. Your not the first person to prefer the new colour even my Mrs and girls like it better
Cleared the seam out and thankfully there’s no nasty surprises it was just thick with primer and paint.
I miss my old Champs, I've had great fun in them over the years. Back in the early 80's there were a few of us with them and we used to get up to all sorts of stuff with them like racing through the High street in reverse and making dirt tracks in the woods.
Flatted the paint around the window hole and gave it a second coat I’ve also done some pinhole filling on the arch panel
blimey what a big difference , didn t think itwas that bad, just as well the weathers not to bad to get it all done ,
The weathers a blessing at the moment but I need to keep moving on to get this lot sealed up before it turns. Got the inside of the window surround in paint.
