  1. Still seething about DVLA.....

  2. If she is in CBA mode maybe the DVLA taking the job away is for the best? Nobody like a jobs-worth.

Look on the bright side, you have a stonkingly good bus and the awe and admiration of all on here.

  3. That's correct everything changed today!!!!!! Although the local offices were usually a little unhelpful also so not much has changed at least they can now carry on striking and not get behind with all the paperwork!!!!

  4. True, I have been served by her before and I think she's the type that takes pleasure from causing poor innocent people like me grief, so in that sense, I guess it's karma.

  5. I remember when you could just walk in, hand your paperwork over the counter, take a seat until your number was called - job done. I can see all sorts of nightmares coming now... Lost paperwork, endless phone "options", "computer says no" blah blah blah. It's a nightmare :(

  6. Looking good well impressed...

  8. The rest of today hasn't been that productive - Pat has nearly finished all the cabinets which is great, and I'll be fitting the pop top on Wednesday.

  9. I applied for the change of plates and did what I could but was told by the guy at the DVLA themselves I had 30 days to change from us import plates to UK ones so I just took that as gospel and drove to Glasto. I did get stopped by the police at the festival entrance but it was to say 'nice bus - US import is it? On you go, have a good festival'...

I can't guarantee that's the response normally but it worked for me.

if it drove to the mot place i'd take it to camperjam even if I had to sleep in a tent. looking forward to seeing pictures of it there - shame i'm not going as I still have never seen another champagne in real life!

  12. You got it bud, paperwork going forwards and back taking ages, can never get hold a person who knows what you want, but hey never forget its been done to enhance the customer experience!

  13. We have a dog with 3 broken (and now pinned) toes that we'll need to drag along, a house we need to finish decorating as we're about to put it on the market and a mountain of other things we should be doing but we WILL BE GOING no matter what. Actually there isn't that much left to do to make it wholly usable and 95%+ finished. Actually 98% + finished!!
We set ourselves a challenge and we will not be defeated ;)

i wouldn't go for free - i blame camperjam..... actually i would go for free but i won't give them another penny.

  16. Last year wasn't a great PR exercise, and I think that's the reason why there's a good few tickets left...

  19. We are nearly.........nearly there. But it's going to go to the wire. I'm booked into the bodyshop early tomorrow morn to fit the roof and electric polish / cut the paint. The interior is in but still not completely finished - I still have doors to hang, and some wiring to do.

Will post lots more pix tomorrow, with all being well a photo of us all at Camper Jam in the evening. :)
