Wilma's 40th Birthday Tour of Blackpool Illuminations, 26-28 October 2012

Come celebrate Wilma's 40th with us from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th October 2012



If you do nothing else in your life, you have to drive through Blackpool illuminations with your van done up in lights. It's the law


Plus it's Wilma's 40th birthday on 1st November and knowing what a classy bird she is, she's decided to celebrate in Blackpool ;D


We're thinking... camping over if you want to, or travelling up for the day, possibility of pleasure beach if you like the feel of your stomach hitting your tonsils http://www.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com/home/

and of course... a rundfahrt through the illuminations on saturday night followed by fish n chips on the prom and a Birthday/Hallowe'en party back at the campsite

ooh that sounds brill! havent seen the illuminations in years

Will check with alan but im sure we will be up for this, prob travel on sat and stay over sat night,

We would like to attend (if we are allowed, in our gaudy van wot is not actually any sort of VW :- ) but not for camping and not for the pleasure beach LOL. We would like to trundle through the illuminations and stand out like a sore thumb amongst the pretty vehicles.

 

Count us in although not sure what time we'll get there as we're that there London on the Friday night for a gig at the Albert Hall

 

I would like to make an effort and come to this one especially as its a fellow flintstones big birthday, havnt been to blackpool since i was a lad a few years back.
Would be good to see the lights and meet a few especially as its officially the end of summer on 28th oct . We will advise a bit closer as waiting for hospital appointment

 

After vowing never to go back to Blackpool again I suppose we'll have to for Wilmas sake - oh the things you ladies make us do :

We'll be up for camping on both nights

 

Saying yes .not sure about campinh cos we have no diary and we is lost on francre an drinks cider . It makes your eyes ho noggley

 

Saying yes to Saturday only camping but not sure at the moment how we are going to get away from work in time. Will do if we can though - have to confirm nearer the time

If it's gonna be cheaper on the fuel then come in your car, and if you want to camp we can lend you all the camping stuff (tent, beds cooker etc ) including little electric radiator to keep you warm

We have a few campsites book marked...all hardstanding with electrics and a couple of miles out of the centre. can you recommend any?

 

very soon (in the next week possibly) we'll need to have definite numbers for camping as the lights finish the week after and there's a chance that camp site may book up quickly, I assume everyone will want hook up?
