When did you join and why!!

I joined in 2013, I'd just bought a deal rough camper and needed some advice!!
Luckily I stumbled upon this one

 

2009 I was bored

 

Joined January 2017, because I bought a camper and because I can't share pics or talk about it on Facebook due to hiding it from the Mrs this is my only place of solitude

Hold on, you hide the fact that you've bought a camper from your missus??

 

Because JK forum was clearly winding down and most of the posters I liked off of there had already migrated over here.

 

Untill the wedding next year yes ha.

We made a deal of wedding them camper but then I sort of jumped the gun

It was.l a steal though, but it's going to be used as the wedding car so Surprise we own a camper.

And it's a fact you can't be Angry on your wedding day.

We borrowed a mates camper, he drove the bridesmaid then the bride and took us to the reception!!
Was a really nice day

November 2012. Bought a van not really having a clue what was involved. Drove it around for 4 years or so, and now have it in bits down the workshop restoring it.

 

It's easy van is stored at my nans the Mrs never goes round if not it's the next door's.

I cant remember exactly . About 2012 .. drifted here from JK when you had to login EVERY TIME you posted... cos their forum was on the inside of their online ordering system..

 

I got talked into joining the forum the first time I went to techenders, I'd been on JK for years before though

1-1-2013, At the in laws and was bored!

 

At least 2 total crashes of the forum ago, sometime in 2009.
I was bored at work and googled VW forums.

 

2009 may/June /July , not really sure but that's how long I've had my camper and it was around the same time. Reason: because I'm cool

 

Joined summer 2015 when I was finally getting round to doing some welding to get the bus I bought from someone I know that was sitting on the drive back on the road. Thanks to the genius of all you good folk I have learned the difference between my arse and a heat exchanger elbow and have been driving my bus around with a smug look on my face for over a year.
