What style number plates do you run - poll

Black and silver, they just suit the van better

 

Will be running black and silver Aly pressed on mine

 

Hey dare to different mine are 6" x 4" black and silver thanks Baybug they are the nuts plod will love them

Standard "Modern Font" black on white/yellow for the bus though i am thinking about trying to get some in the older , bigger, squarer font for a more trad look! The same colours though as she's a 77.

 

mine were the raised 'push in' numbers/letters when i bought it. can't remember the colour combo, but i painted them black and silver


bug is run on black and silver pressed plates (originally yellow ones), never had any issues in the last 10+ years.

 

I spent an inhuman amount of time panicking about this when I owned my 72 beetle and the DVLA told me the cut off day for plates was registration before 1st September 1972 (if i can remember rightly, it's been 12 years since I checked). This would seem to not relate to tax exempt status??

I'll double check in the morning, but i think i have the original pressed yellow rear and a modern plastic white one on the front!

 

We use pressed B+W but then we can legally do so.

 

Just bought my bus

Previous owner fitted silver and black plates.

They are not the right plates but they do look so much better. I'm not comfortable with them but missus adores them and wants them to remain.

To be fair bus isn't pure full stop. Original panel, custom fitted camper interior so to be honest I will let it go.

 

Pressed black and silver but it is a '72. Still not legal as it wasn't registered 'til feb 73. I don't think i'll ever get stopped though. The bus looks like it should have old plates.
