what have you done to your bay today ?.

Fitted interior lights and made them work.
Fitted a fire extinguisher.
Replaced all the dash bulbs as every single one was blown/missing.
Removed the seat belts.
Fitted new air filters and made a new breather system.
Un jumbled the spaghetti in the engine bay, re-made ALL the connections and wired in the missing heater blower.
Now very pleased that the blower works and mighty p*55ed off that there's still no air at the dashboard, WHERE IS IT GOING? Been underneath and can't see any leaks, must be at the heat exchangers?

 

Got totally *******ed off with it leaking pints of oil again, only put new crank oil seal in about 5 weeks ago.
Nothing for it but to buy another shed and have a go at rebuilding the original engine that came with it as a spare!

 

Trying to find out why I had a red light of doom on the charge light the other day.
Checked over all the connections, earths, made sure the alternator is spinning fine and putting out a decent output. Changed a ropey battery earth lead. Can't find anything else dodgy so just have to wait and see.

 

Did some sanding inside. Got to the sliding door threshold and have up due to the rain! back tomorrow...

 

Four new tyres fitted. Took her for a drive down the M65 and back to celebrate and she ran pretty well, coughed and spluttered a few times. Drove into town to buy some new fuel pipes on the way back, but after 5 minutes sat outside the shop and she refused to start! Gave her 10 minutes and all was well, I think I need to have a fettle with the timing and the carb next...

 

Took me batteries out ,its having new ones.

 

Drove the van for the first time in 3 months. And with a BIG smile on my face. 65 up a hill that is steep enough to have a crawler lane.

 

Taking her out in the frost to Formby .......... Hopefully with Jivedubbin too

 

Got the brake calapers in doors for a re-furb.

 

put a handle on the sliding door to allow me to shut it from the inside without slamming it so much. Made it out of an old leather belt - looks quite good and works which is always nice.

 

Just gonna get it running again after the Christmas layup

For the first time since owning the van it has every door and panel fitted

 

Put my new reg plate on the back

 

I'd like to say I have fixed my loss of gears issue and started prepping for paint but to be honest, I just cant take the cold any more, my fingers frozen means mistakes, so I'll wait until its warmer.
Until then I have been searching for what colour I want, two tone or not, white roof or black roof also what to do with interior.
I also have to drop of my standard wheels for shot blasting and powder coating so I can fir them, then sell my EMPI 5.
