Took the rest of the kitchen out Covered the bulk heads in paint stripper (as they had been painted black, then a grey fabric glued to them) so a bit of a mess. Also put some more thermawrap behind the door cards
Took a look at the bus today for the first time in about two months and decided to wash and wax her I tried my new bikerack out for size as well
Spent half the day under the van, trying to get the heat exchangers off. Managed to get two of the front four stud nuts off without snapping, rounding or threading anything, and gave the other two a verbal warning. I will deal with them tomorrow.
Played with the tinware to try and get a closer fit on the join. Better but not 100% happy. Looks to me as if it has been welded at some point which makes me think it might be the wrong tinware made to fit. Did manage to drill the first holes for the air box bracket and started to clean up the air box itself.
Took the Xmas tree to the tip and used that as a nice excuse for a drive around. Got home then fixed the faulty drivers door lock, took off and remounted the rear bumper as it had been looking a bit saggy. Its now nice and pert. Rewired the oil temp gauge. Darkness stopped play. The Darkness would have been more fun mind.
Fitted a new oil cooler and seals, alternator and a stainless exhaust yesterday. It wouldnt start this morning but managed to sort a dodgy earth out at lunch and now hes all working again Yay!
Took my van for a run out with Will to walk Jess and my headlight flash and indicators packed in , i got the indicators working by messing with the wires but no dip wrking on the hedlights , they have been playing up ever since i changed the ignition barrel and had the column apart - grrr
Successfully finished removing the exchangers (two new ones arriving tomorrow) and fitted a pair of lovely shiny stainless rocker covers.
Finnishing tarting up and refitted tarted up engine back in someone elses. And converted horrible electric windscreen washer (my pet hate) back to pressurised (also someone elses).
