Yes ..I went to see his 091 3 rib , and he told me It wasn't the best option, as the ratios in it were more of a close ratio drag/ sport box... He told me about boxes with different ratios, and told be a 5rib was the best as he did one for his nippy 1800 bay.. It's not his living ,He's an engineer and, does a bit on vw gearboxes as a hobby... I'm thinking He may be a good option for you.. as a proper built 6rib (which you have)will give better gearing than a Scooby in a bus..
Got my C15 work van thru its mot with only 2 tyre advisories It helped that the tester liked classic cars and had a Capri (I've had a number of capris)
Less than I would of liked. But I did single handedly "man " the cake sale at preschool. I even wore the special food gloves
i et cake n drank coffee and supported a charity transplant hospital whilst doing it , then saft i tore up a tree , bludee junk mail and old stuff
Thinking about it, my shouty sales technique of " any of you mums want a muffin" must of been what caused me to sell only an average amount.
Just got back from collecting Big G. He's had new rear corners, some window work, some lower front panel work and some seam work. Oh, and 10l of Waxoyl in prep for winter. The down side is that this weekend I'll be mostly stripping the front transaxle to remove the viscous coupling....just after all that lovely Waxoyl has been sprayed on Pics to follow tomorrow for those interested

Put heating in the bathroom, I cut a hole in the floor so we now have hot air blown in from the wood burner. It's toastie in there now.

bought some whitewall tyres for another project, saved £800 in the deal, went to the shed and made a concerted effort to get the new door to fit perfect in the passenger side been faffing with it off and on for months, took carefull stock of the situation, made some crucial adjustments, refitted the door tweeked a couple of bits and achieved the perfect fit, good gaps all around, no pinching and flush with the arch... chuffed..
