Website MAIN sponsor opportunity

    So our main sponsor for the website had decided to pull the plug after more than 10 years.

    Sad as that is it means we have an opportunity for someone else to take prime advertising on the main forum.

    The cost is £1000 for 12 months which basically pays the hosting and IT fees.

    If you’re genuinely interested drop us a message and we can have a chat about the possibilities.

    Not that I wish to see adverts but...
    My web browser shortcut is to "latest posts" and has been for decades.
    Unless I want to start a new thread I never see any adverts and even then - barely notice them as my mind is on starting a new thread.
    I had to go to the home page just now to see who this alleged main sponsor was. Still no idea. lol
    Cripes - they were paying ow mooch? What did they get for that?

    Sadly without you hat amount we can’t pay the hosting fees. Cherished have been our main sponsor since day one but when it changed over to a-plan in the background communication slowly dried up and now have pulled out all together. Shame really as they started at the same time

    I have donated to the EB site in the past
    Perhaps we should think about making donations on here
    There’s plenty of better off Subaru owners on here with spare cash who haven’t broken down :D

    Why has it got to be 1 Main sponsor, £1000 is a £1000 if it came from 3 or 4 people,

    I'd be happy to cough up £50 A year we'd only need another 19 people to do so and it's sorted, i'd set up a direct debit if need be!

    Can't stand that band, but I am a refined midlander who sympathises with both you shandy drinking hush puppy wearers and the whippet and ferret flat capped tightwads of the north, I have been known to drink a shandy and wear a flat cap I draw the line at hush puppies and ferrets!

    Honestly this place keeps me sane even if I'm not posting I'm reading the treads.
    I'm a member on other sites that struggle with fees and blitz the site with ads.
    I would happily pay a yearly sub.

    Me too, but the problem is, that only covers year 1, what about year two etc. how many people will continue.

    How about setting up a patreon account? Then we could bung in a few quid now and again. A lot of small amounts soon mounts up and even if it covered half the costs then the remainder could be made up with a sponsor, making it cheaper for them and maybe an easier sell for you.

    As I say I’d set up a direct debit it’s really an unknown as to who contribute and who would continue paying. Valid point though!
