Well , certainly there is very little information available on this model number you quoted,
the below 2 links are about all .

the first link takes you to a user guide, further down this post is pasted Bluetooth user advise from page 30 of the user guide
the second link is where i found the first link to the user guide ( on the right hand side in small writing )
the advise hasnt pasted into the post in a good format so it may be better to read the manual itself

Using Bluetooth wireless devices (select products only)
A Bluetooth device provides short-range wireless communications that replace the physical cable connections
that traditionally link electronic devices such as the following:

    Computers (desktop, notebook)

    Phones (cellular, cordless, smartphone)

    Imaging devices (printer, camera)

    Audio devices (headset, speakers)

    Mouse

    External keyboard
Bluetooth devices provide peer-to-peer capability that allows you to set up a PAN of Bluetooth devices.
    For information about
    configuring
and using Bluetooth devices, see the Get started app.

    Select the
    Start button
    , and then select the
    Get started
    app.
    Connecting Bluetooth devices
Before you can use a Bluetooth device, you must establish a Bluetooth connection.
    1
    .
    Type
    bluetooth
in the taskbar search box, and then select
    Bluetooth settings
    .
    2
    .
Turn on Bluetooth, if it is not already turned on.
    3
    .
Select your device from the list, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
    NOTE:
    If the device requires
    verification,
a pairing code is displayed. On the device you are adding, follow the
on-screen instructions to verify that the code on your device matches the pairing code. For more information,
refer to the documentation provided with the device.
    NOTE:
If your device does not appear in the list, be sure that Bluetooth on that device is turned on. Some
devices may have additional requirements; refer to the documentation provided with the device

If your credit/debit card is a visa card you are covered.

Some time back I bought some tickets to see Bruce Springsteen in June, I bought them early from a ebay ticket seller in January, When the date came I had no tickets two weeks before the event and no response from the seller. I contacted paypal and they said no chance, they only dealt with stuff within three months. I had a word with my bank and they told me my debit card was my link to paypal and it was visa protected. I rang visa and they rang paypal. I was refunded within two hours.

  5. Theres a difference between what's legal and a companies terms and conditions (you could write what you wanted)
What they have done invalidates the contract via 'meeting of minds' - you can return your product and get a full refund in law.

  6. It mentions it in the specs in a few of the adverts but in the product specs on the HP website it just says:
    Wireless connectivity
    802.11b/g/n (1x1) (Miracast compatible)

No mention of Bluetooth at all.

Up to £100 pay by Debit card and get your money back by using Chargeback (see http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/advice/how-do-i-use-chargeback).
Over £100 use a Credit card as you get Section 75 protection. Not recommended to use Paypal with a credit card because you may find you lose your S75 protection.

You are completely within your rights to claim your money back, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 'the goods are not as described' and you have a 30 day period to reject the laptop where you will get a full refund. (see http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rig...id=CITM28Hbq9ECFUHnGwodb10GsQ#product-quality).

Suggest you stay calm with Very but tell them very firmly you want a full refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and you are exercising your statutory right to reject the goods as they are not as described and as it's within 30 days you are entitled to a full refund. If they quote their T&Cs tell them the Act takes precedence over their (puny) T&Cs.

If they still say no then tell them your next stop is Money Claim on Line (http://www.gov.uk/make-money-claim-online). You'll have to pay a £25 court fee but will get it back from Very (along with your money) when you win.

Don't let them get away with it, they've misrepresented the laptop, gained a sale by doing that (the Bluetooth function was the reason you bought it from them), now they have to pay the price for doing that. I'd also add in a few quid for the inconvenience you've been caused.
    Good Luck.

  8. Worst case scenario if you get stuck with it get a bluetooth dongle like this for 99p delivered or your local Poundland will have one

I LOVE these types of issues with big companies. Don't bother using the phone or email. Write directly to their head office (recorded delivery) stating clearly what your issue is and how you expect them to resolve it. Give them a clear time limit to respond, (14 working days is considered a reasonable time if it gets to small claims court). Also explain that you intend to reclaim any and all costs incurred by you in pursuance of the matter, and inform them that you will be charging them £20 per letter you send to cover your time and administration costs.
Then, enjoy, as you proceed to tie the company into knots because you are the only one dealing with it on your end whereas there will be a different person each time from them.
Each time you send a reply to their latest letter make sure to include an invoice of your costs to date.
If they're boring they'll cave in and pay up quickly but sometimes you can keep this going for ages.
I had an issue with a bank a few years ago and it took over a year and I actually had to issue small claims court proceedings.
I went to court but the bank didn't bother turning up so I won by default and was awarded the £200 we were arguing about and £560 costs, the bulk of which were my administration charges. I think I was charging them £22 per letter.

I feel quite jealous now as the last company I had to battle with was the AA and I won that one last summer.

  10. I looked up on the Very website, and the laptop you ordered has a description within a long list of functions and Bluetooth 4.2 is listed, but no mention of a Bluetooth card which you have said was missing.

I found on another website some reviews of the product and saw one complaint from a dissatisfied customer that the Bluetooth function was missing or not working.

so, it seems to me you either enjoy the laptop as it comes or try flogging a dead horse trying to resolve a dispute with Very.

I am not a PC expert but maybe the folks on here can get the Bluetooth function working for you. Maybe you need to buy additional kit.

Same but different. Bought a Kitchen fro WREN terms and condition place all the onus on the purchaser, even for any mistakes /omissions by their designer even for wrong measurements, even after accepting there pre fit survey... I measured things upfront, they used the wrong sizes on the plan and the presurvey surveyor who had a copy of the plan failed to notice. according to WREN I was responsible.. Eventually got that sorted, but then came the fitting then the refittig of defective or damaged items and then the refittig of other bits n bobs, and then the failure of materials, wrong fittings used, no screw caps, then parts started warping, the more you cleaned it the more defects were thrown up.. had the instalation manager out to look they made a list, got some parts delivered but 3 months later no one has turned up to fit them, now the hot water pump has paced in and so it goes on... Thats an £18k kitchen paid up front... WREN ARE NOT INTERESTED .. So best thing I can do now is get it out there as often as possible DONT BUY FROM WREN KITCHENS , save yourself the grief and over inflated expense.. Their terms and conditions are designed to protect them and rip out your heart. There customer care is non existent .. Pass it around :)

  12. Very's desktop website has a product spec walk around bit which doesn't list Bluetooth at all but that's not shown on the mobile version.

As geordieandy says dongles are only 99p or so and a new card with Bluetooth is under a tenner though fitting it would probably void the warranty.

  13. search google to learn how to setup Bluetooth on your laptop, there's lots of help on google. I saw a reference to an HP enabler whatever that is. I'm sure you can sort it, rather than waste your energy doing battle with Very.

apparently I have Bluetooth on my HP Pavilion but I had to go searching for how to enable it.

HP laptops are carp. How do I know!! Yours probably has got bluetooth hidden away somewhere but it's a devil to find.

  15. I've spent around 3 hours running all the tests and following the how to's on google and still nowt. A combined wifi/BT card was an option on some machines according to HP and it was never fitted to this model number.

On my old HP laptop you clicked on device manager and it was listed there. It was also on the start page.

  18. Sad tale about the Wren kitchen fiasco, I had thought about a new kitchen and a new bathroom would be nice but I decided to spend the money on a van instead.

In my old age I can live with it as it is. Amazing what you can do with paint and flooring and new Homebase lighting.
