Bought a new laptop off them. Specs said it had a Bluetooth card in it. One of the reasons it was bought. Switched it on and no Bluetooth to be found. No card installed. According to Very, due to it having been turned on theres no returns allowed even though it wasn't sold as described so theres nowt we can do.
T&Cs shouldn't affect your statutory rights. It should be as advertised. Have you got a copy or screen shot of the description, before they can change it. Citizens advice/trading standards.
Theres loads of the same sort of thing if you google it. No-one seems to get anywhere even after months and months of contacting them. Trading standards are no help either.
Your credit card company will sort it. Quite simply the item is not as advertised. Watchdog are only interested if they get dozens of complaints about the same thing.
Says: Non returnable under our Approval Guarantee, once installed or connected. Your statutory rights are not affected.
It seems strange not to have bluetooth nowadays . What is the exact model so we can research it. My bluetooth is turned on by a tiny little hard to find button on a hp laptop
Its a HP 15-ba027na. The HP site doesn't mention a bluetooth card at all but the Very site does in 3rd line from th bottom. Just do a chargeback via creditcard company. Wouldn't even bother returning it. I promise you the creditcard company will be on your side.
how did you pay for it....... if you paid by credit card phone them up and tell them you will be returning it as its not as described, when they say you cant just tell them you will get in touch with your credit card supplier and tell them you want a refund......... you still have rights. how long have you had it?
Thats terrible customer service. To solve this one your best bet is to just send it back and ask for a refund. How will they know its been powered up. Once its back in their hands I cant imagine theyll want the hassle. Long term, as others have suggested buy with a credit card, or buy from John Lewis - customer service second to none
