We are getting closer to the point where a lot of our big radio and TV transmitters are going to be replaced with lower power transmitters producing essentially white noise, 5G, 4G , digital TV. In the old days you could probably decode moving pictures from an analog TV broadcast without a copy of the standards documents... after you noticed the signal has a lot of regular pulses in a fast and a slow pattern, and that each fast pattern was quite similar but not identical to the one before, and that it was also similar to a pattern sent several hundred fast periods before.. you might work out a 312 line rectangular pattern. And there is Alan Whicker flickering away..( this was basically how early Sky analog TV encryption was hacked)

apparently there was an explosion 390million light years away , only second in size to the big bang and has left a hole in space big enough to fit 15 galaxies the size of ours - it has taken the radiation 400 million years to get here . also if it had happened say 100 million light years we might no longer exist .Makes you realise how insignificant we are
