Tyres! Pricy but essential

  1. Fair play to them, a lot of places would say go sing!

  2. They have been fab. I'm all about fairness and the lads in the tyre bay were gutted for me. They loved the old bus and the supervisor got straight on it.
The only issue I've had is the office staff spent a week trying to order a cap from VW dealership next door. That could be excused but for the week it took for the dealership to realise it wasn't possible
Rather than fess up and contact me for assistance the supervisor has gone solo from memory and like I said ordered one but we're not sure what until it shows up. I bought a set of 4 SS after trying the "best chrome" efforts and I've not seen a single SS for sale so I think he's probably ordered one from JK which I've had and for £59 they are not very good and they're deffo not SS.

  3. Update! Costco have smashed my ask and expectations.
After trying to source a single replacement cap they accepted my offer of me buying another set of four then reimbursing me for the one.
How ever they gave me the full amount.
To them probably small beans, to me a massive bonus.
    I'm very thankful.

I've got Firestone Vanhawks though! I'm not complaining, I got four new for £80 a few years back on eBay. Probably cost me an extra £200 in fuel since then!
Been fine though, better than expected.
I got 185/75/14s, a tad more clearance underneath as it was kinda close with 80s.

JK are doing whitewall tyres with proper rating now...... £100 per tyre

  9. I went with Michelin and I really like the feel, I know it's on old bus but the difference they made was well worth it.
Quiet and stable fab wear rate too
