I think the Michelin and Hankook have a good reputation, so do the Firestone Vanhawk which I chose. Never buy cheap tyres. Tyres and brakes are the most important items on your van. Compared with the high cost of our vans, tyres are not expensive. Fit the best.
I bought some Goodyear van tyres for mine because they were the quietest I could find. Never worry about wear - the softer the better IMO as I've never met anyone who has worn through the tread before the side walls cracked with age. Understeer does that.
smart ass I'm going for the Michelin as I've just finished fitting gas shocks all round and now I'm cornering like a arial atom I need super boots
'I'm cornering like an Ariel Atom'.........................in a VW bus ?????? You are a braver man than I, Gunga Din!! Tony
Me too. Ive got Whoflungdung Ditchfinder Generals all round. I can go sideways into any corner with ease!
Booked in to Costco for the Michelins. I played one supplier off on another until I got formula 1 down to £69 ea fitted then Costco matched it this morning plus I'll get another £25 off in the form of a credit note for buying 4 that's £62 per corner for Michelins! I'm happy with that
Our bus is on cheapo Runway's made in China. Handles like a donkey on roller skates in the wet, Hugh under steer at very modest speeds . Tyres will be changed as I complete a light resto over the next couple of months. £60 a corner for Michelin sounds ok
I roll michelins on my motorbikes . That companies improvements over the last ten years is unmatched , you pay for what you get ...
Costco started at £75 ea! I just got one company after another to price match each other. Odd thing is the AA tyres wrote me a quote but didn't drop their website price so anyone else will still see the old price! Naughty AA! Tyres on the drive did the same! Tut tut. Formula 1 and Then Costco were instant. Costco are just holding their £25 offer at the mo!
