The engine end goes in easily. The head end leads in bottom first and can, depending on where you got your seals, leave a loose bit poking out at the top that can get nicked as it goes in.
Oil for me too. I'll admit to the occassional one leaking, but as often as not a quick twist of the pushrod tube settles it down.

  2. Ta guys. Its not that I ddont know how you should fit em and yep - I lube and twist when fitting. They never last long though. Anyway. Hopefully find time tomos or next week to do em,

  3. Which end leaks first? case or head?

    Is that a trick question?
    I guess head. :)

  5. thats a good question and Im not sure, what you thinking?

  6. well if you're running hot, it could be causing the seals (head end) to degrade quickly...

Another thought, are you running a std exhaust with heat exchangers? as I've seen aftermarket stuff push on the tubes and cause leaks!!

  7. Former is possible! will take the under tins off and have watch it while running before I do em. Running std heat exchanger set up. Unsure why I would be running hot as all the usual suspects are sorted ie timing tinware, valve settings. carb is the only area that might be at issue. Runs rich low down and runs out of juice a bit at the top end (prog weber)

  8. Could be the weber needs jetting properly... Rolling road session to do that though!!

Are your tubes new?? Where did you get them from if they are??
Gsf ones are very poor quality
