Type 4 2ltr - which oil filter

    Yes I did leave it "open" for a few days too. I also removed the coil HT lead and cranked it for 30 secs with the new oil. Not sure why Mike thinks my bearings are toast?

  2. Are you using and aftermarket sender, Mark, or VW's original? I only ask because, as far as I know, the pressure switch on the aftermarket sender, usually the senders that have both the guage terminal and the switch, marked G and K are set to come on at a higher pressure than VW's own.

    It's an aftermarket dual sender. I'll try and find out where I got it and check its spec.

  7. I also had a bunch of Bosch arrive in substitution. However, when you click your link, they are even cheaper than the OG posted link. In fact, when you add the discount code they come to about 12 quid for 6:eek:

    I think there are a few of us who won't be checking oil filter prices for a little while :lol:
