    Tuesday wildchild I'm a circle!

With catch up /on demand internet streaming most can be watched without need to pay gov to do so(just don't watch anything as its broadcast).

Anyway you haven't time to watch it you to busy fixing your house to sell. :D

  3. When the kids were younger it used to go on as soon as they got up. Even when there was nothing to watch. Nowadays it's not on so much, but I do admit there are things we like to watch, news, Luther, Holby City :)
And I have Netflix so am currently rewatching Dawsons Creek and Vampire Diaries. I also intend to rewatch Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and there is a new Netflix series called Hemlock Grove which I am watching. So yes, a bit of a square eyes, but we definitely don't watch, or miss it when camping or holidaying.

  5. Some people seem to think that the TV has to be on all the time. I go to friends who always have it on - even when there's only crap programmes to watch. I do like to watch well made dramas and interesting documentaries and (though there hasn't been many recently) good comedy, but I know where the off switch is. Lately I have felt that the TV is just like white noise and there is a pleasure in turning it off. Often these days the only thing I watch is the news, then I go do something interesting instead. Seems the message of the kids programme 'Why Don't You?' has finally registered in my head...

Much of what I watch nowadays is on DVD and I wallow in nostalgia watching some of the forgotten TV series of the past, largely because there are so few programmes on current TV that interest me. From time to time this changes as new series come into the schedule. I like the advent of TV on demand and of PVR recording which is much easier than the old setting of a VCR. That way I can watch what I wan when it is convenient to do so, meaning I can get on with my life and not be tied down to the TV schedule.

  6. i have one ... i think haven't seen it for a while ;)

  7. While we're on the subject - when's series 3 of "Homeland" happening?

  8. I could do without a TV, but wouldn't be without a radio. Generally, if it's a toss up between doing some car / motorbike related stuff in the shed or watching TV, the TV loses.

  9. We've got sky full package and it's an utter waste off money. Thinking about downgrading it to the lowest possibable package. We only seem to watch documentrys mainly car based ones and motorsports.
The yougist likes to watch sports, vary rarely watch our old channels. BBC, ITV etc.
No Tv in the mornings or when we are eating. So only goes on in the evening.

  10. Always had one but watch it less and less to the amount of bland programmes on. I do watch some car/bike related stuff but apart from that not a lot holds my interest. TCM has some good movies with people who actually could act back in the day like Donald Pleasance but I find most of the modern stuff polically correct brainwashing nonsence. I'd watch chosen stuff on my pc if that was more up to date but it's not fast enough.
    Bring back Benny Hill :D

  13. i think TV is a valid and cheap form of entertainment. I can take it or leave it tbh. i like question time and watch if I remember and ive got hooked on the tour de france. i watch all sorts but usually current affairs or films and it fills a hole sometimes - particularly late evenings. i have one in the kitchen that i watch most but on the other hand i probably use it for radio just as much.

as said above it takes a back seat if the weathers nice.
