Old films now and again for me only, Other than that no tv except deal or no deal while i am eating tea!
Uncle ray has been an inspiration to many people These scottish youths have got it right in my opinion
I did about 5 years without a TV when I was single and never missed it for a second...the wierdest thing about it is when someone asks if you saw Eastbenders or something and you tell them you have no telly.....they just look at you like you are some sort of nutjob and struggle to find something else to talk about I will confess that its on most of the time nowadays, although the only time I really look at it is for Family guy, The Simpsons or wildlife programs. If I had the luxury of a garden, or better still a garage, then I wouldnt be in the flat at all...
My dad said something similar. He said you couldn't swat a fly with a Kindle. Well you could .... once.
I try not to watch to much, winter time it's on pretty much all day with the kids watching old cartoons
Tv really is a social anaesthetic. I watch some sport and the occasional drama but tend to either tinker in the garage or on my van in the evenings. Having kids means ours is on a lot but I made a decision about 18 months ago to watch less and get more active in my downtime. My wife and I have noticed a change in me and the amount of stuff done around the house. I much prefer to listen to the radio whilst doing things around the garage/house, 5live & radio 4 for me!
I watch the odd programme programme Documentry Etc. do have sky but my Mrs watches loads. I threatening to cancel it though as its gone up again....to be honest I would rather read a book these days
I do watch TV, I have some pure junk show's that I do watch, no soaps, but in the evening once the children are in bed, I do like a film or two as well, but on the other hand, I read, work , go out and about , take the children all over the place, we grow our own veg, have chickens, I go to the gym, TV is all well and good in its place however in moderation...................... but some times just sometimes I like a day laying infront of TV watching crud , these days are rare but sometimes in my case needed.
Just missed Spider-Man, catching up on these threads. Luckily it was the one where they have a Spider-Man musical at his high school and spidey has to play himself. Luckily I've seen this one
Pretty much the same as Row for me (without the kids. Or the chickens. Or the gym...). There's some comedies I like, a few crappy programmes, family history/history stuff, wildlife. Films usually start too late for me or are annoying with adverts. A bit addicted to Pointless though ...
I would rather sit in traffic on the M25 than watch TV although there are exceptions like " spiral " not on at the moment and " not going out "all repeats you can do so much more with your life , It upsets me when you go to visit someone and you have to do battle with the TV on
I love telly. Fully Sky'd up and wouldn't have it any other way. I do other things too. It's not a mutually exclusive activity.
