The forecasters were right, the weather has taken a turn to the nasty end of the spectrum, those tables were snow free half an hour ago Even the local birdlife has headed for shelter
An early morning ski in one of the areas that are technically "out of bounds" & then make tracks for a days work
Critters in the snow, we think this is Erica The Echidna The view from our one of our offices on the mountain Had a quick check that no one had fallen in one of the creeks & you have to love the creativity of some of our visitors
Sunrise this morning There's always one "I've got a 4 wheel drive so snow & ice don't worry me" Just out side the carpark.
Whilst it's hard to get my head around snow in Oz, it's also hard to get my head around sun in Scotland! Even the locals are surprised with it reaching 29c in Glasgow and even 27c at Aviemore so no skiing there. So in tribute to your Scottish heritage @Terrordales here's a photo from Friday.
It's the SECC and Hydro taken from the south bank of the Clyde outside the BBC Scotland centre where the BBC are running their games coverage from. I'm back at home watching the marathon and it's raining there now which has got to be good for the runners.
Looks like it's going to be a nice day Morning sweep done, time for a couple of free runs then second breakfast & back to work
Such a lovely sunrise this morning but now it's a howling gale & we've had to put some of the lifts on wind hold for safety. We are now back at base having coffee & a sandwich
It's very foggy up on the mountain so we've decided to stop for a break & let our happy volunteers keep the place safe for a while. We think that the car park attendants have way too much time on their hands
I like how your days are nicely punctuated with breakfast/coffee/cake etc. Sounds like a very relaxed and enjoyable place to work
