Whether it be Horton, Eunice, or that special family name that’s been passed down for the last five generations, your middle name is part of defining who you are, and where you fit in your own family. Celebrate your middle name in all its guts, glory and finery on Middle Name Pride Day! It may embarrass you, it may describe your personality in some way, or it may be something you actually like and appreciate. Whatever your middle name is, today is the day for you to write it down, share it with someone, or shout it out with pride. After all, your full name is part of who you are – and your middle name was chosen by your parents or loved ones as a way to link your whole name together. Thanks you've rely upset me now I havnt got a middle name. Booo hoooo. On my youngst son we used the middle name that my parents refused to use on me and that was Evis no i didn't spell it wrong not Elvis. Grandad used to tell the story that it was a long standing family name everyone believed him till idid the family tree and foun out his dad was born out off wedlock his dad was a coram his mum an Evis hence the name become Evis Coram. Now I wounder if I'm related to Michael Evis.
Here's a question, do you know how and why you was named the name you have? My mum and dad had a disagreement over mine, my nan said turn the tv on and the first male name is the one! Robins nest was the tv show so that's mine. I have been told that englebert humpidink was playing out TOTP's, close I know!
Mine's Thomas. First male child going back 5 generations has either been called Thomas or had Thomas as a middle name. I wouldn't have minded Thomas as a first name, I like it.
My sister was nearly 6 when I was born and she chose my middle name from a favourite series of books: !!!! (no - not Mouse...!!). Another character in the series was Mrs Nibble, so I guess I had a lucky escape there. I like it as a name, but never thought it particularly suited me - I've always thought of it as being too 'girly' a name and associated it with little girls in pretty dresses. It's grown on me a bit more now though.
Not got one either ......... Not sure what I'd have if I wanted one.....Lawrence maybe, sounds kinda serious, dignified..
Not wishing to brag, but Ive got 2 . Only of which only appears on my passport and birth certificate, the other appears on everything. And no, I'm not going to share
My Granddad was John Henry, my Day Kenneth John, me Bernard John, our son Thomas Henry - we thought Thomas John might be turned around and used against him
