Sorry @bernjb56 but Keith Moon is the reason I never got to see The Who live.
I had tickets to see them in Leeds in 1966.
We were all there waiting - and waiting and waiting .
Then the announcement came - The Who will not be playing tonight
- after the riot subsided we learnt that all but Keith Moon had turned up
( I guess the drummer was being hugged somewhere)
- and the other 3 wouldn't play even though the support act's drummer had volunteered his services
- I did get my refund of 17/6 though.

 

We are the rhythm section.

I know
